ZRP I-Beam Connecting Rods for Rover K-Series

ZRP Rover K-Series I-Beam connecting rods are made from high strength 4340 steel, designed for high performance, extreme durability and added rigidity. This "lightweight" design combines lightweight performance with proven reliability at high revs. The bushings, made of AMPCO 18 material for excellent wear and fatigue resistance, feature a radial groove for oil storage. They are shot peened for material stress relief and multi-stage heat treated for increased rigidity. Strict tolerances in the production process ensure a perfect fit and optimize oil clearances. Bending and torsion are strictly controlled. Each connecting rod includes ARP 2000 head bolts with a rated strength of 220,000 psi; optionally, ARP Custom Age 625 material can be chosen. The connecting rod kit is supplied with ARP molybdenum oil and full assembly instructions. Additional machining processes: Centering sleeves for a perfect fit and precise reassembly. Flanged cap relief for increased big end integrity in extreme applications. Grooves on the thrust face for weight reduction. ZRP connecting rod technical features: Two-piece forging for high strength. Shot peened for increased fatigue life. Magnaflux inspection ensures that the consistency of the forged material meets our high quality standard. Double ribbed caps for added support. Multi-stage heat treatment for maximum strength, dimensional stability and fatigue life. CNC machined for superior tolerances, with an accuracy of up to 0.0002". The center distance is kept below the 0.001" tolerance. Finite element analysis (FEA): Computer generated stress analysis of the connecting rods. Optimal balance for matched weight sets of ± 1 gram.
