ZRP "Heavy Duty" I-Beam Connecting Rods for Nissan GTR VR38 DETT are designed for high power/boost applications. Manufactured from the finest raw materials, 4340 high tensile steel with a specially optimized shape for high performance and extreme durability. Straight cut small end increases durability, so they can only be used with aftermarket pistons. Bushings are made from AMPCO 18 material, which offers excellent wear and fatigue resistance, and feature a radial groove that acts as an oil reservoir. Shot peened for material stress relief and multi-stage heat treated for increased rigidity. Strict tolerances in the production process ensure a perfect fit and optimize oil clearances. Bend and twist are strictly controlled. Each connecting rod includes 3/8 ARP 2000 cap fasteners which are rated to 220,000 psi, optional 260,00 psi ARP L19 material available as an upgrade and the entire kit is supplied with ARP moly and full assembly instructions.
