The H-Beam connecting rods for Yamaha 1800 SHO watercraft are made from high-strength 4340 steel and designed for high performance and extreme durability. The bushings are made of aluminum-silicon/bronze and feature a radial groove that acts as an oil reservoir. These connecting rods have a grooved pin end that minimizes pin-end deformation under high inertial loads while reducing weight. They are shot-peened for material stress relief and multi-stage heat treated for increased rigidity. Strict tolerances in the production process ensure a perfect fit and optimize oil clearances. Flex and twist are strictly controlled. Each connecting rod includes ARP 2000 cap fasteners that are rated at 220,000 psi, optional ARP L19 material at 260,000 psi available as an upgrade, and the entire kit is supplied with ARP moly and comprehensive assembly instructions.
