ZRP connecting rods for Honda K20 type I

Honda K20 I-beam connecting rods are made from high-strength 4340 steel and designed for high performance, extreme durability, and added rigidity. The bushings, made from aluminum-silicon/bronze alloy, feature a radial groove for oil retention. They are shot-peened to relieve internal stresses and multi-stage heat treated to increase rigidity. Strict manufacturing tolerances ensure a perfect fit and optimize oil clearance. Flex and torsion are strictly controlled. Each connecting rod includes 5/16” ARP 2000 cap fasteners rated at 220,000 psi, optional ARP Custom Age 625 material at 280,00 psi available as an upgrade, and the complete kit is supplied with ARP moly lubricant and full assembly instructions. Additional machining processes: Pin sleeves for perfect fit and precise reassembly. Flanged cap relief for increased big end integrity in extreme applications. Thrust face grooves for weight reduction. ZRP Connecting Rod Technical Features: Two-piece forging for high strength. Shot peened for increased fatigue life. Magnaflux inspection ensures forged material consistency meets our high-quality standard. Double ribbed caps for added support. Multi-stage heat treatment for maximum strength, dimensional stability, and fatigue life. CNC machined for superior tolerances, precise to 0.0002" center-to-center is maintained below 0.001" tolerance. Finite Element Analysis (FEA) computer-generated stress analysis of connecting rods. Optimal balance for weight-matched sets of ± 1 gram.
