I-beam connecting rods for Ford Escort Cosworth are made from high-strength 4340 steel and designed for high performance, extreme durability, and added rigidity. Their center-to-center length has been increased by 8.00 mm, making them ideal for long rod applications. The bushings, made from AMPCO 18 material, offer excellent wear and fatigue resistance, and feature a radial groove for oil deposit. They undergo shot peening to relieve internal stresses and multi-stage heat treatment to increase their rigidity. Strict production process tolerances ensure a perfect fit and optimize oil clearances. Bending and torsion are strictly controlled. Each connecting rod includes ARP 2000 hex head bolts with a strength of 220,000 psi. Optionally, ARP L19 material with a strength of 260,000 psi can be purchased. The complete kit includes ARP Moly lubricant and full assembly instructions.
