ZRP Connecting Rods for Ford 1.6L EcoBoost

Ford 1.6L EcoBoost I-Beam connecting rods are manufactured from high-strength 4340 steel, designed for high performance, extreme durability, and additional rigidity. These connecting rods have a tapered pin end, making them compatible with OEM pistons. The bushings are made from AMPCO 18 material for excellent wear and fatigue resistance, and have a radial groove for oil storage. They undergo shot peening to relieve material stress and multi-stage heat treatment to increase rigidity. Strict tolerances in the production process ensure a perfect fit and optimize oil clearances. Flex and twist are strictly controlled. Each connecting rod includes ARP 2000 cap fasteners rated at 220,000 psi; optionally, ARP 625 material rated at 280,000 psi can be purchased as an upgrade. The connecting rod kit is supplied with ARP moly oil and complete assembly instructions. Additional machining processes: Tapered pin end: suitable for OEM pistons. Centering sleeves for a perfect fit and precise reassembly. Flange cap relief for increased big end integrity in extreme applications. Thrust face grooves for weight reduction. Center-to-center distance is held to within 0.001" tolerance. Finite Element Analysis (FEA): computer-generated stress analysis of connecting rods. Optimal balance for ±1 gram weight-matched sets.
