ZRP Connecting Rods for Ford 1.0L EcoBoost

The 1.0L EcoBoost I-Beam connecting rods are made of high-strength 4340 steel, designed for high performance, extreme durability, and added rigidity. The bushings are made of AMPCO 18 material for excellent wear and fatigue resistance and have a radial oil reservoir groove. They undergo shot peening to relieve material stress and multi-stage heat treatment to increase rigidity. Strict tolerances in the production process ensure a perfect fit while optimizing oil clearances. Bending and torsion are strictly controlled. These connecting rods have a "straight cut" pin end for increased durability, so they can only be used in conjunction with aftermarket pistons. Each connecting rod includes ARP 2000 cap fasteners rated at 220,000 psi; optionally, ARP 625 material is available as an upgrade. The connecting rod kit is supplied with ARP molybdenum oil and full assembly instructions. Additional machining processes: Pin bushings for a perfect fit and precise reassembly. Flanged cap relief for increased big end integrity in extreme applications. Grooves on the thrust face for weight reduction. Center-to-center distance is maintained below 0.001" tolerance. Finite Element Analysis (FEA): Computer-generated stress analysis of connecting rods. Optimal balancing for matched weight sets of ± 1 gram.
