ZRP "Heavy Duty" I-Beam connecting rods for the Audi 2.5L TFSI TT-RS are designed for high power/forced induction applications. Made from the finest raw materials, high tensile 4340 steel with a specially optimized shape for high performance and extreme durability. They feature a straight-cut pin end for increased durability, meaning they can only be used with aftermarket pistons. The bushings are made from AMPCO 18 material, which offers excellent wear and fatigue resistance, and have a radial groove that acts as an oil reservoir. They are shot-peened to relieve material stress and undergo multi-stage heat treatment to increase rigidity. Strict tolerances in the production process ensure a perfect fit and optimize oil clearances. Bending and twisting are strictly controlled. Each connecting rod includes ARP 2000 cap fasteners rated at 220,000 psi, optional ARP L19 material at 260,00 psi available as an upgrade, and the entire kit is supplied with ARP moly lubricant and full assembly instructions.
