Product details
JRspec forged connecting rods, manufactured with H-beam technology, for Volvo C70, V70, and 850 vehicles with 1.8T and 2.5 B5254T engines.
Manufactured from high-quality ANSI4340 (EN24) forged steel, with a resistance exceeding 200 hp per cylinder.
Vacuum degassed before processing.
All forgings are X-rayed before processing.
Heat treated (normalized).
Stress-relieved after processing.
Shot-peened.
Each hole is honed twice (before and after assembly), ensuring a perfect circumference (0.01 mm tolerance). Additionally, the connecting rods feature perfect vertical straightness with a 0.01 mm tolerance; many recognized brand manufacturers have discrepancies greater than 0.1 mm, which causes premature bearing wear.
Each rod + cap kit has its own serial number. The sets are weight-matched and end-to-end balanced. The small ends are reinforced with the highest quality bronze bushings at the piston pin position.
The connecting rods have been tested in a 1500+ hp Calibra Tsunami engine.
