I-beam connecting rods for Peugeot 1.6L 207 RC Turbo (EP6) are made of high-strength 4340 steel and designed for high performance, extreme durability, and added rigidity. These connecting rods feature a tapered small end, making them compatible with OEM pistons. The bushings, made of AMPCO 18 material, offer excellent wear and fatigue resistance, and have a radial groove for oil storage. They have been shot peened to relieve internal stresses and subjected to multi-stage heat treatment to increase their rigidity. The strict manufacturing process tolerances ensure a perfect fit and optimize oil clearances. Flexing and twisting are strictly controlled. Each connecting rod includes ARP 2000 cap screws with a strength of 220,000 psi. Optionally, ARP L19 material with a strength of 260,000 psi can be purchased.
