Product details
H-beam connecting rods for BMW M5 S38 3.8L are made of high-strength 4340 steel and designed for high performance and extreme durability. The bushings are made of aluminum-silicon/bronze and feature a radial groove that acts as an oil reservoir. These connecting rods have a grooved pin end that minimizes deformation under high inertial loads while reducing weight. They are shot-peened to relieve material stress and undergo multi-stage heat treatment to increase their rigidity. Strict tolerances in the production process ensure a perfect fit and optimize oil clearances. Flex and twist are strictly controlled. Each connecting rod includes ARP 2000 hex head bolts with a strength of 220,000 psi; optionally, ARP L19 bolts of 260,000 psi can be chosen. The complete kit is supplied with ARP molybdenum lubricant and comprehensive assembly instructions. Additional machining processes
