Following the success of the FMTIA5 performance intake hose for the UK right-hand drive variant, Forge Motorsport is proud to offer the long-awaited high-flow intake solution for the revised 2.0 DNF code engines in the left-hand drive (LHD) MQB platform from 2021 onwards, featuring a Continental turbocharger and higher power output. Forge has developed numerous performance parts for VW across various models, and this product replaces the restrictive plastic intake pipe with our smooth-bore, multi-layered Forge silicone hose, which increases airflow, improving efficiency and vehicle performance. This translates to an increase of up to 8 HP, a notable gain for an easy-to-install modification.

The turbo intake adapter developed by Forge improves your vehicle's airflow in several ways; designed similarly to a conventional intake duct, it directs air into the turbocharger and allows more air to be compressed due to its increased capacity. This has a positive effect on your vehicle's acceleration after prolonged deceleration or between gear changes, thanks to more air being retained in the intake system. Forge has been supplying silicone hoses for automobiles for many years, and it is common to find OEM plastic intake hoses with ribs and steps inside that cause turbulence and disrupt airflow. Forge's product development expertise results in an oversized Forge Motorsport silicone turbo intake hose with superior flow compared to the standard hose, and dyno tests demonstrate the enormous benefits of such a well-designed product.

The Forge intake pipe connects directly to the factory airbox, as well as most aftermarket high-performance air intakes. Hours of development and testing translate into noticeable results; when accelerating, this component has been shown to add extra power. A simple dyno change to our FMTIA9 showed improved power and throttle response at low RPMs, with gains of over 8 HP and 11 lb/ft of torque at peak RPMs, along with around 5 lb/ft and 6 HP in the mid-range. Its installation is simple, and this modification unlocks even more power from the VAG engine. Installation typically takes about 40 minutes. Like all Forge Motorsport products, it includes a comprehensive instruction manual to make installation as easy as possible.
