Following the success of our turbo inlet adapters for various platforms and engine configurations, we took the opportunity to expand our product range for the VW MK8 GTI. They were looking to optimize airflow to the turbocharger. After analysis, they found that the original turbo adapter was restrictive and needed improvement.
The original plastic turbo inlet includes a corrugated hose that hinders airflow within the intake duct, which impairs engine performance, especially when modified. To obtain maximum performance, we have included a smooth silicone intake hose in the kit, which attaches perfectly to the Forge turbo elbow. This product not only improves the aesthetics of the engine bay, but the TIA6 turbo elbow and intake hose significantly increase volume and airflow, ensuring the smoothest possible transition from the intake duct to the turbo.
Suitable for left- and right-hand drive vehicles, the turbo elbow is made of cast aluminum and machined to the perfect tolerance for a flawless fit. This product installs in approximately 30 minutes with only a few tools and can be easily done even by the most inexperienced enthusiast.

The Forge silicone hose in this kit has been designed with a high-quality modified silicone inner liner, known as fluorosilicone.

This means that the hose is compatible with modern long-life coolants, Organic Acid Technology (OAT) coolants, or air containing oil mist.

The construction of the hose has been engineered to exceed that of the original components and will enhance any engine bay both technically and aesthetically.
