Turbosmart upgraded vacuum wastegate actuators have been developed to provide the highest possible boost response for your factory turbocharger. The vIWG series of Turbosmart upgraded actuators benefit from an increased 'working ratio' than the factory equipment, resulting in better boost response across the entire RPM range. This improved 'working ratio' is achieved through an increase in effective diaphragm surface area and revisions in the fitted springs, resulting in greater leverage of the forces the actuator is working against (boost and back pressure) while remaining super responsive. When upgrading with the same base pressure as factory, you can expect a wider boost and torque curve, as peak boost is reached earlier in the RPM and held for longer, to higher RPM. These improvements can be amplified with higher base pressures, however, tuning and recalibration is recommended for optimum performance.
