For those of you who are technology geeks, we will provide you with details that explain the advantages of this nitrous system. The key to maximizing nitrous horsepower is to keep it in a dense liquid state until it is injected into the engine. Sharp turns in the nitrous flow cause turbulence, which results in gas bubbles. Dense liquid nitrous makes more power than gassy nitrous. Period! This NX nitrous system contains the key components that ensure maximum horsepower per pound of nitrous used. The NX Lightning solenoids feature optimized flow allowing the nitrous/fuel to enter above the seat and exit out the bottom, achieving an unparalleled flow in the market. Lightning nitrous solenoids incorporate a built-in purge port allowing a purge valve to be connected directly to the solenoid body. Purging through the body of the solenoid eliminates the air pocket between the purge valve and the orifice of the solenoid. Lightning fuel solenoids feature a fuel bypass port allowing a small return line to be connected to the tank. This eliminates the trapped air between the fuel pressure regulator and the fuel solenoid, which eliminates the lean spike associated with other solenoids. Lightning series solenoids feature CNC machined aluminum bodies and carbon fiber cans for maximum weight reduction. The machined aluminum Lightning 500 bottle valve not only looks great but is also packed with features, including an integrated gauge port, integrated push port, a large .500 orifice and straight through flow. The Lightning 500 bottle valve provides excellent performance and weighs almost a full pound less than our old NX 45 valve.
